Custom Clothing Printing and Embroidery: garment inspiration
Product inspiration; materials and branding are agreed for your project.

Printing and embroidery should be planned with the product. Choose your logo application together with the garment and fabric. ZATEX PROMO reviews printing and embroidery requirements for custom apparel, uniforms and textile bags. The right brief includes artwork, finished dimensions, placement, colours and quantities.

Screen printing for graphic-led designs

Screen printing is an option to discuss for logos and graphics on suitable textiles. The number of colours, print positions and artwork versions affects preparation. Show the actual design rather than describing it only as a small or large logo. A front print and a back print are separate placement decisions.

Embroidery for stitched branding

Embroidery creates the design with stitches. Review fine text, line detail, the proposed stitch area and the support needed by the fabric. A design that works on paper may need simplification at a small chest size. Request an application sample so you can assess legibility and how the decorated fabric sits.

Transfers and other application options

Transfer methods may be considered depending on the artwork, material and order. Compatibility needs to be reviewed for the exact fabric and finished use. Include stretch, texture and laundering expectations in the discussion, especially when matching several different garments in one program.

Prepare your artwork

  • Supply the clearest original artwork file available.
  • Give the logo width and height in centimetres.
  • Mark the placement on a garment sketch or reference image.
  • Include brand colour references and permitted variations.
  • List quantities for every design and garment colour.

Approve the decoration on the intended product

A digital mockup confirms direction but does not replace evaluation of a physical application. Review position, edge detail, colour appearance and the feel of the decorated area. Agree care instructions for the finished product and record the approved version before production.

Printing and embroidery: quotation and approval checklist

How many artwork versions are in the order?

List every version and its quantity. A logo used on several garment colours may require different application colours. If a program includes individual names or department labels, describe that requirement separately. Give the supplier enough detail to distinguish repeated designs from unique personalisation.

Which placement reference should you use?

Show the position on the intended garment and provide measurements from a defined point, such as the centre front or a seam. Indicate whether the position stays fixed across sizes or should be reviewed. A photograph can communicate direction, while dimensions make the instruction easier to check.

How do you review a decorated sample?

Look at the garment as worn as well as close up. Check the logo at normal viewing distance, then assess small details, the edges of the design and the surrounding fabric. Collect the changes into one document. Keep the approved application sample reference with the final artwork file.

Can one approval cover the whole uniform range?

Only if the agreed approval scope explicitly covers those products and applications. A polo and an outerwear jacket can differ in construction and surface. Identify which combinations need their own review instead of assuming that approval of one garment automatically covers every item.

Use the GINETEX care-symbol guide for labelling terminology and agree the care instructions for the finished decorated product. Read our screen printing vs embroidery comparison for a buyer-oriented decision checklist.
